Reflecting on this course, all I can say is organize, organize, organize your artifacts and don't forget how you felt about completing each one them. The Capstone project was quite an experience and it is hard to forget the process, the papers, the do-overs and every step that made it a success... including the steps that did not go as planned during implementation.
My Capstone project was about using Microsoft Class Notebook to help new special education teachers customize digital learning spaces for students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) based on their prescribed learning goals. This project meant so much to my professional practice because as former special education teacher, I feel an unusual responsibility to advocate for special education teachers and students using best practices for technology integration across all content areas.
Now that I am graduating from this program in a matter of days, I feel a huge sense of relief. I also do feel a great sense of responsibility to demonstrate all that I have learned in this program - to support, model and facilitate best practices for school improvevent as an Instructional Technology Specialist, Data Coach, Instructional Designer, Teacher, etc. This program has prepared me for several roles and I feel ready yet humbled to have been a part of the KSU Ed.S program, class of Summer 2017.
