This class was about Instructional technology Leadership. It's my 2nd time of being in Dr. Beeland's class and I must say that the structure of his assignments are usually clear and easy to follow. As for the course content, it was absolutely relevant. As a current Instructional Technology Specialist, this class helped me take on bigger roles that ushered in opportunities for a lasting impact at my school. The more I read about taking the lead with technology, the more I felt comfortable taking strategic risks with technology initiatives at my school.
The case studies in the textbooks made it easy for me to recognize the reality of technology transformation as a process that will come with challenges. However, it is also a process that will meet the needs of learners if we approach it with a clear vision.
The RSS feeds were especially helpful in getting m outside my bubble so to speak. By connecting with like minded educators who are leading digital transformation in various ways, I was able to find a balance between new ideas and the professional learning needs at my school.
